　　The product iPhone takes the lead in smart phone market all the time. The great CEO Steve Jobs is known by the world. Though he has passed away for some time, people still think of him when they see the product. Steve Jobs once gave an inspiring speech in a top university. He told students to stay hungry and stay foolish, which now has become classic words. Hungry and foolish mean motivation to move on. Steve told us never to loss the passion to search the world. 　　As my second year of high school life has come, I feel a little stressful, because I want to enter a better college, but my score worries me. I have made up my mind to make great progress on my study. Firstly, I need to improve my weak subjects. Geography and math are always my weakness, so I decide to go over the important knowledge and ask help from my classmates. My good friend is very patient, and she explain the details to me. With her help, I will make progress. Secondly, every time when the exam paper handed down, I will scan my mistakes and figured out how to make it right. Though I always feel frustrated, I will tell myself to stick on. Finally, I will make it and see hope. Every aim I made completes me and makes me stronger.

　　Last week our music teacher taught us a song, named Indebted Heart. Through it I know that we should live with a thankful heart. At that time, I think of my parents. I think they are the first people I should thank. It’s them who give me life. It’s them who give me home. It’s them who bring me up. It’s them who look after me. It’s them who teach me knowledge and live happily. I should thank my parents giving me so much. Maybe I should think how to pay back the love my parents give me. But now I think the best way to be appreciated of my parents is to study well and then being a useful person to the society when I grow up.

A month passed, Li Ming realized that he didn't make progress, instead, he lag behind. He talked to his teacher and the teacher told him that he needed to rest well and took it easy. Some of them even fail in their study.Therefore, some people argue that playing computer games in harmful to students and it should be prohibited strictly. From my point of view, spend some time in computer games will not do harm to us. Firstly, it won’t cost us much time, so our study and rest will not be influenced. Secondly, all work and no play make Jack a dull boy. Although we are busy in our study, it doesn’t mean that we can’t play at all. Some games may be good to us to some extent. 　　春節的習俗

　　The Chinese New Year is now popularly known as the Spring Festival because it starts from the Begining of Spring (the first of the twenty-four terms in coordination with the changes of Nature). Its origin is too old to be traced. Several explanations are hanging around. All agree however that the word Nian which in modern Chinese solely means "year" was originally the name of a monster beast that started to prey on people the night before the beginning of a new year.

　　One legend goes that the beast Nian had a very big mouth that would swallow a great many people with one bite. People were very scared. One day an old man came to their rescue offering to subdue Nian. To Nian he said "I hear say that you are very capable but can you swallow the other beasts of prey on earth instead of people who are by no means of your worthy opponents?" So it did swallow many of the beasts of prey on earth that also harassed people and their domestic animals from time to time.

　　After that the old man disappeared riding the beast Nian. He turned out to be an immortal god. Now that Nian is gone and other beasts of prey are also scared into forests people begin to enjoy their peaceful life. Before the old man left he had told people to put up red paper decorations on their windows and doors at each year's end to scare away Nian in case it sneaked back again because red is the color the beast feared the most.

　　From then on the tradition of observing the conquest of Nian is carried on from generation to generation. The term "Guo Nian" which may mean "Survive the Nian" becomes today "Celebrate the (New) Year" as the word "guo" in Chinese having both the meaning of "pass-over" and "observe". The custom of putting up red paper and firing fire-crackers to scare away Nian should it have a chance to run loose is still around. However people today have long forgotten why they are doing all this except that they feel the color and the sound add to the excitement of the celebratio.

　　With the development of technology, today we live in the world with high technology. People seem to can't live without computer and smart phone, once they don't have smart phone at hand for a while, the seem to be lost and feel something miss in their life. When I talk to my friends at table, I find them always play smart phones or check on the text all the time. Though we sit face to face, the distance between us is so far. The high technology brings isolation between people. Some people don't often visit their parents and friends, for they believe that a call can solve all the things. Communication in face to face is far more important than a call. It is time for some people to put down their smart phones for a while when they are communicating to others.

They told her that she was fat and looked homely, so it was impossible for her to be a model. The girl gave up going to school but she chose to study at home. She continued her passion for fashion, now she became a fashion blogger, and her followers were more than one million. What an inspiring story. Look at those people who laughed at her dream. They should be shameful on themselves. We should not laugh at someone else's dream, no matter what kind of dreams they have. It is their motivation to move on and make progress. Most of them become somebody in the future if they insist on. The world becomes beautiful if we give support to each other.

A man took a train in Europe, as there was no one to supervise him, so he thought he could not buy the ticket and ran to the train directly. Later, when the man wanted to interview a job, the employers refused him because they told the man that his credit did not reach their standard. The man realized that he had lost his credit for not buying the ticket for one time, which taught him a lesson to keep his credit. The credit helps us to make friends and cooperate with others well. Don't lose your credit, or you will lose many chances.
