find 的用法歸納
1. 用作及物動詞，主要用于下列句型：
后接名詞或代詞。如：
Where did you find it? 你是在什么地方找到它的?
Youd better try and find another job. 你最好設法另找一份工作。
Youll find the answers at the back of the book. 在書后你可找到答案。
后接復合結構 。如：
Wefind the story very interesting. 我們發現這個故事很有趣。
I found the boy hiding behind the door. 我發現這個小男孩躲在門后。
He found the city much changed. 他發現這個城市發生了巨大的變化。
I didnt find her an easy woman to workwith. 我發現她不好共事。
注意：后接不定式的復合結構時，主要是 to be, 偶爾可見 to do型。另外有時也接帶先行詞 it 的復合結構。如：
He found it hard tofinish the work in time. 他發現要及時完成這項工作很困難。
后接that-從句。如：
Now he found that he could relax a little. 現在他發現可以放松一下了。
Newton found that all masses attract each other. 牛頓發現所有物質都互相吸引。
He found that she was a cheat. =He foundher to be a cheat. 他發現她是個騙子。
可以帶雙賓語，雙賓語交換位置時用介詞for。如：
Please find memy key. =Please find my key for me. 請給我找到我的鑰匙。
試比較。如：
We found him a good teacher. 我們發現他是位好老師 。
We found him a good job. 我們為他找了份好工作 。
2. 用于find oneself, 表示發現自己 或不知不覺或突然。如：
Suddenly I found myself face to face withthe man. 突然我發現自己面對面跟這個人站在一起。
He returnedto England to find himself famous. 他回到英國，發現自己竟出了名。
3. 注意區別 find 與find out：前者指偶然地發現、或通過實驗而發現、或通過尋找而找到而后者則指通過調查或觀察詢問等而查明情況或事實真相 。如：
We mustfind out the truth of the matter. 我們必須查明事實真相。
Wemust find out where he lives. 我們必須查明他住在什么地方。
有時find out中的out可以省略。如：
Please find what timethey are coming. 請了解一下他們什么時候來。
4. 是終止性動詞，一般不與一段時間連用。如：
正：I found it a long time ago. 這個東西我找到很久了。
誤：I found it for a long time.
