　　　　中學英語中特殊量詞很多，學習時應弄清肯定與否定觀點、可數性質、功能特點、適用句型、常見搭配和主謂語一致情況。

　　　　一、了解特殊量詞的肯定與否定觀點。

　　　　much，many，a lot （ of ），lots （ of ），plenty （ of ），a good many，many a，a large amount of，a number of，numbers of，a large quantity of，large quantities of，a variety of，varieties of，a mass of，masses of 表示許多，強調說話人帶有肯定的觀點；a few 有幾個，a little 有一點，也強調說話人帶有肯定的觀點；little 沒多少， few 沒幾個，強調說話人帶有否定的觀點。

　　　　I have much homework to do this evening.

　　　　今天晚上我有許多家庭作業要做。

　　　　Lots of flowers are still on show in our city.

　　　　much，a great deal of，a large amount of，a little，little 只能修飾或指代不可數名詞；many，a good many， many a，a few，few，a number of，numbers of 只能修飾或指代可數名詞；a lot （ of ）， lots （ of ）， plenty （ of ），a large quantity of，large quantities of，a variety of，varieties of，a mass of，masses of 可以修飾或指代可數名詞或不可數名詞。

　　　　這個瓶子里有許多 / 有一點 / 幾乎沒有鮮牛奶。

　　　　特殊量詞通常既可以用作形容詞作定語，又可用作代詞作主語或賓語，much，a lot / lots / a great deal / plenty 還可以用作副詞作程度狀語，修飾行為動詞或比較級形容詞、副詞。

　　　　Many of the students in our class have been to Beijing.

　　　　much，many 既可用于肯定句又可用于否定句和疑問句； a little ，a few 常用于肯定句和疑問句，little，few 學用于否定句； plenty （ of ）學用于肯定句，否定句應改為 enough ； a lot （ of ），lots （ of ），a great deal （ of ），a number of ，numbers of ，a variety of ，varieties of ，a mass of ，masses of 既可用于肯定句，又可用于否定句和疑問句。
