There was an artisan of the state of Yue who was good at making boats. Because of his excellent work, the king trusted him very much. He was regarded as a great master of boat making and got munificent treatment.

One year later, this artisan said to the king, I can not only make a boat but also drive a boat very well. "The king was glad to hear that and appointed him to drive boats. In the war between the state of Wu and Yue, the boat that the artisan drove was sunk, and he was drowned. When the news got spreaded throughout the country, all the Yue people felt sorry for him.

一位越族工匠善于造船，由于工作成績(jī)突出，他得到了越王的信任，被越人尊為造船宗師，享有優(yōu)厚的待遇。

一年以后，這位工匠對(duì)越王說(shuō)：“我不僅會(huì)造船，而且也很擅長(zhǎng)駕船。”越王聽(tīng)后很高興，便派他去駕駛船只。吳越雋李戰(zhàn)役中，這個(gè)人駕的船在太湖中沉沒(méi)，本人也被淹死了。消息傳出后，全體越國(guó)人都為他感到惋惜。
