Ⅰ. bold “大膽的、勇敢的”著重指大膽、勇敢的氣質(zhì)，表現(xiàn)出有膽量、敢闖或敢于對抗而不畏縮。如：

　　① Be bold! 勇敢些!

　　② It’s very bold of us to venture to go to sea. 我們冒險航海是很勇敢的。

　　Ⅱ. brave “勇敢的”， 應(yīng)用最廣泛，通常指在危險、困難或可怕的情況下表現(xiàn)勇猛而畏縮。如：

　　① Be brave! 勇敢些!

　　② It was brave of him to enter the burning building. 他敢進(jìn)入那燃燒著的房屋，真是勇敢。

　　Ⅲ. courageous “勇敢的，無畏的”表示由于有勇敢的氣質(zhì)或不屈不撓的精神而能無畏地自覺地對付某種事情，常常用于表示道義上的勇敢。如：

　　① He is courageous in telling the truth. 他敢于講實話。

　　② We hope that they will courageously shoulder their responsibilities and overcome all difficulties. 我們希望能夠勇敢地負(fù)起責(zé)任，克服一切困難。
