專四考試常見詞辨析：醫生也分“內外”
doctor, physician, surgeon, dentist
這些名詞都有醫生之意。
doctor :普通用詞，泛指各科醫生，即一切有行醫資格的人。
He would not dream of becoming a doctor.（他做夢也沒想到要當大夫。）
physician :指醫院的內科醫生。
In case of diabetes, physicians advise against the use of sugar.（對于糖尿病患者, 醫生告誡他們不要吃糖。）
surgeon :指專修外科或專修人體某個部分的外科專科醫生，這種醫生一般需對患者進行手術治療。
The surgeon is now operating.（外科醫生正在做手術。）
dentist :指專門從事治牙的醫生。
I have got toothache, so I must go to a dentist.（我牙疼, 必須去看牙醫。）
